Kili Ventures joins IRIS Africa, the Horizon Europe project on responsible GenAI for African health and agriculture.

Kili Ventures is participating in IRIS Africa, a three-year Horizon Europe project bringing together eleven European and African partners to develop responsible generative-AI tools for health and agriculture.

IRIS Africa — Intelligent and Responsible Innovation with GenAI for Societal impact — turns complex data into clear, culturally adapted guidance. Its pilots focus on people living with type 1 diabetes in Ghana and agro-pastoralists managing livestock risk and insurance in Kenya, supported by Living Labs in Ghana, Kenya and Uganda.

Kili leads exploitation, twinning and investment readiness under Task 6.3 in Work Package 6, helping connect the pilots with African start-ups, European peers and the wider investment ecosystem.

Work Package 6 has started mapping the start-up and investment ecosystems and surveying founders’ needs in Kenya, Ghana and Uganda. This work will help shape a capacity-building programme around the practical needs of local ventures.
