WafR is a Morocco-based retail technology company led by founder Ismail Bargach. It works through local shops to distribute financial services, bringing everyday access closer to the communities they serve.
Its approach uses an existing network of trusted businesses to make financial services more available and convenient.

Founder Ismail Bargach brings experience from Heetch and Seedstars and an understanding of Morocco’s financial ecosystem. Our original investment story highlighted the importance of that local knowledge in building a service around everyday customer needs.
